At its meeting, the Ames Planning and Zoning Commission approved the agenda and the Nov. 19, 2025 minutes by voice vote, and recommended City Council approval for two rezoning items: a mixed‑use master plan for 204 Southeast 2nd Street (HOC to NC) and a split rezoning for a 15.25‑acre portion of ISU Research Park Phase 4 (Agricultural to Research Park Innovation District). Staff will forward both items to City Council for final action.
Commissioners also discussed administrative matters: staff proposed shifting packet distribution to email notification with printed copies available at the dais; commissioners supported the change and staff said it would be implemented for future meetings. Staff noted City Council will consider requests for development incentives on Dec. 9 and that a comprehensive zoning‑ordinance rewrite remains on the work plan for next year.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed by voice vote.
