The Westborough Select Board approved a list of proposed locations for bike racks purchased with a Central Mass MPO microgrant.
Assistant planner Kristen Belanger presented the grant-funded program and recommended specific sites including the town library (three circular racks), locations on West Main (ChaCha Beans and near Sotheby’s), space near the arcade building (relocated to in front of Anthony Joseph Realty after a safety review), South Street near Red Barn Coffee, the community/senior center (inverted‑U racks), Lyman Street (pickleball courts), Lake Chauncey (gazebo area) and Haskell Fields.
Belanger said contract execution is underway, racks will be ordered upon select-board approval in December, shipping is expected in 1–2 months, concrete pads are planned for March and rack installation in April–May with project completion projected by June. She said color customization is possible to match wayfinding branding if the board desires.
A motion to approve the proposed locations passed 5–0.
