Jeff Briskie introduced the item on reporting requirements for exceptions to teach out of field and reported the department’s finding that the NAC provisions duplicative of statute (NRS 385.220–385.230) are not needed; he said the department consulted the attorney general and concluded repealing the duplicative NAC was permissible because the NRS language is newer and more detailed. The commission moved the item to public workshop.
