Show Low council approves inspection services agreement, easement abandonment and cemetery property purchase

The Show Low City Council approved three property- and permitting-related items during its Feb. 4 meeting: a renewal of inspection services for manufactured housing with state oversight and a county agreement, abandonment of a 15-foot access easement, and purchase of property adjacent to the city cemetery.

Inspection services agreement (R202506) City staff said the Arizona Department of Housing contract allows local jurisdictions to perform permitting and inspections for manufactured homes and factory-built buildings under state standards, including mandated fee schedules, required training (paid by the city), and reporting obligations. Staff recommended the city renew its arrangement with the Department of Housing and enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Navajo County for the county to issue permits and perform inspections within Show Low city limits.
