He emphasized that items identified in the mitigation plan are not binding obligations but serve as a documented list for future grant applications and project prioritization.
The commission voted to approve the resolution; staff said the electronic plan will be reviewed by the State Department of Emergency Services and FEMA as part of the formal approval process. Commissioners asked clarifying questions and received confirmation that the county will continue to coordinate with highway and other departments to identify projects that could leverage mitigation dollars.
