GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley Evans School District 6 officials briefed the Board of Education on Monday on the district’s Artificial Intelligence Task Force and how the work ties to the district’s Innovation 2030 strategic plan.
The presentation said the task force is intended to “support educator instructional practices, to promote access and equity for all students, and to implement a professional development plan to ensure quality teaching and learning,” Anthony Nausplis, assistant superintendent for secondary and K‑12 leadership, told the board. “Artificial intelligence is found in our strategic plan and is directly connected to our values.”
The update explained why the district is prioritizing AI instruction and support. “We need our students and our educators to be able to use AI tools and evaluate accuracy,” Nausplis said, noting that AI can produce inaccurate or fabricated information and that training should focus on ethical uses and accuracy checking.
