County to renew Agilis Duo ballot-sorting software contract at roughly $10,000 for next year

Montezuma County elections staff asked commissioners on Feb. 24 to approve renewal of the county’s Agilis Duo software and maintenance contract used to scan ballots and import voter signature images into voter records.
Miss Purcell told the commissioners the county has used the Agilis Duo equipment for about five years; the renewal would continue software and maintenance and staff said the vendor had modest annual increases in prior years but is restarting the contract at approximately $10,000 for the coming year.
Elections staff explained the system automates signature scanning and downloads signatures into voter registration records, a process that previously took months but now takes roughly an hour after processing. Commissioners said they reviewed the contract and raised no objections.
The county noted that software and maintenance are recurring elections budget items and that continued service helps post-election processing efficiency.
