Board members also discussed an invitation to speak at the Salt Lake Off‑Road & Outdoor Expo on Feb. 27 and a trade show opportunity at ITB in Berlin on March 3. Staff reported a registration slot and asked whether the board wanted to send a board member or a staff member; the board asked staff to identify a TCAB member or staff person who could represent the destination and to report back quickly. Several members volunteered interest; staff asked for confirmations by the following day.
On budget and infrastructure, staff clarified that a previously recommended $200,000 restroom upgrade for the visitor center was not included in the version of the budget adopted by the county commission. Members requested a follow‑up report showing which TCAB budget recommendations were approved by the commission and where unapproved items were redirected. Staff agreed to prepare a reconciliation of recommendations versus adopted budget lines and return with details.
