Planning board continues 220 Turnpike Road hearing after applicant submits drainage revisions

The Westborough Planning Board reopened the public hearing for 220 Turnpike Road on June 3 and voted to continue the matter to its June 17 meeting so the applicant can finalize revised plans.
Patrick McCarty of McCarty Engineering, representing the applicant, told the board that the team "received the peer review letter" and had prepared written responses and plan revisions for submission. He told the board that "99 percent of their comments were drainage related," and that layout, parking and sidewalks were not materially affected.
McCarty said the revised plans would be plotted and stamped the next morning and resubmitted to permit staff and the peer-review engineer, with the goal of returning to the planning board on June 17. The applicant, Jim Ball, attended the hearing.
A motion to continue to the next meeting passed unanimously after no members of the public spoke during the solicitation for comment. The continuation preserves the board’s ability to consider any outstanding peer-review items at the next meeting while the applicant completes final paperwork.
