Council authorized a Phase 6 sewer‑rehab contract with Dukes Root Control Incorporated for a base amount of $1,399,174.70. Council also approved a 10% contingency of $139,917.47 and engineering costs not to exceed $922,500; staff presented the project total as $2,461,592.17. The motion passed by voice vote.
The council approved a separate bid from Global Green Group LLC for asbestos abatement at the Future Animal Shelter: $19,600 plus a 10% contingency ($1,960), making the project total $21,560. Council also approved a citywide crack‑and‑joint seal contract with Cars Outdoor Services Inc., $150,817.40 plus a 6% contingency ($9,049.04) for a total of $159,866.44.
