Inkster groups announce MLK Day of Service, Founders Day and other outreach

Moore said first responders, homeless residents and seniors would be included in the outreach.
Other speakers highlighted local organizations: Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church committed to preparing soup; Pastor Overman committed to providing turkeys; Wesleyan Bennett Foundation described upcoming reading programs beginning March 7 and Juneteenth plans; Inkster Goodfellas outlined ongoing kids programs. Several speakers invited council members and residents to volunteer and attend events.
Organizers said the flyer for the MLK Day event will be posted and that volunteers and donations can be delivered to the Simmons Building during listed drop‑off hours.
