Bluff Council approves staff contract, appointments and payment of bills; orders transfer to cover attorney fees

At its Nov. 18 meeting the Bluff Town Council approved several personnel and financial items, including an employment contract for Administrative Director Malia Collins, two planning-and-zoning appointments and payment of outstanding bills.
Council reviewed Collins’s employment contract, discussed at-will language and compensation items, and approved the contract with the changes discussed.
The council accepted the Planning & Zoning Commission’s recommendations to appoint Anne Brown to a three-year midterm seat and Caitlin McLennan to a one-year midterm seat; members noted applicants’ planning credentials and prior interest in service.
On finance, staff presented bills that included attorney fees from October; the council approved payment of bills and a $30,000 transfer from the PTIF account to cover legal fees and near-term general expenses.
All actions on these items were approved by voice vote.
