The Liberty Hill City Council unanimously accepted the resignation of City Manager Paul Brandenburg and approved separation terms during the July 23 meeting.
After convening in executive session for multiple items including personnel matters, council returned to open session and Councilmember Ashley moved to accept Brandenburg's resignation effective immediately, with three months salary, three months health benefits and payment for accrued leave. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Council directed each director to be responsible for their department while the deputy city manager assumed overall administration responsibilities. No timeline for hiring a replacement was set at the meeting; council thanked Brandenburg for his service and adjourned.
