Council approves multiple reappointments, fills parks and downtown committee seats

The Liberty Hill City Council approved several board and commission appointments during the regular agenda.
Council moved to approve five reappointments recommended by planning and zoning for positions on the Liberty Hill Economic Development Corporation board and the Parks Board; staff read the names, terms and end dates into the record and set terms to end Oct. 31, 2027. The council recorded a 7–0 vote in favor.
Council also appointed Jason Rask to the Liberty Hill Parks Advisory Board (place 1) and moved to appoint Donald Campbell to the Downtown Revitalization Committee (place 4), both with terms scheduled to end Oct. 31, 2027; both appointments passed by a 7–0 vote.
Council discussed holding one remaining parks vacancy open to allow additional advertising and applications after staff indicated one candidate was under the age requirement. No further controversy was recorded on these appointments.
