Both staff and the planning and zoning commission recommended C-3 as the appropriate permanent zoning for the parcel, identified in the Williamson County Central Appraisal District as Parcel R023.
The council opened a public hearing on the proposal at 6:04 p.m. and recorded no public speakers. A motion to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-0-035 to rezone the property and amend the official zoning map carried on a 7–0 vote.
The action authorizes the city to update its official zoning map and includes standard findings of fact, severability and effective-date language in the ordinance caption read into the record. The council did not attach additional conditions or amendments during the vote.
The rezoning moves the parcel from its default annexation status into a general commercial district, a change that can affect allowable land uses and future site plans; staff recommended the change based on the property’s context and the applicant’s request. The council did not discuss any separate infrastructure conditions tied to the rezoning on the public record.
