Council appoints Tim Anderson to Planning & Zoning Commission

The Liberty Hill City Council unanimously appointed Tim Anderson to the Planning & Zoning Commission on Tuesday.
Anderson had addressed the council in public comment earlier in the meeting, identifying himself and describing professional experience in environmental chemistry, drinking-water and hazardous-waste issues, and cross-functional project management. He said his experience would help the commission with the city’s comprehensive-plan work and updating development codes.
Councilmember moved and seconded the appointment with a friendly amendment acknowledging the commission’s rule that three members traditionally live inside city limits; the council explicitly waived that residency requirement for this appointment as allowed under current bylaws. The motion passed 7-0. Council and planning staff said they will monitor commission composition to ensure required expertise (including engineering coverage for technical advisory committees) remains available.
