Parks advisory board votes to cancel December meeting; volunteers to draft community book‑sharing proposal

Miss Wilson moved to cancel the December meeting and Miss Williams seconded the motion. Chair called for the ayes; the vote was recorded as affirmative and the motion carried for the record. Roll call earlier in the meeting showed eight members present, and no opposition was voiced during the roll call vote.
During the "good of the order" portion of the meeting a board member raised the idea of installing community book‑sharing boxes; that member said they already have funding and volunteered, along with another board member (Keith), to draft a written proposal for the board to consider at the January meeting. The presiding official asked that the volunteers circulate a short summary by email so the item can be added to the January agenda.
The board adjourned by voice vote at the end of the meeting.
