Committee moves Hasko affordable-housing scope change and technical correction to consent agenda

Snohomish County staff on Tuesday described a requested scope change to the Hasko affordable-housing project and asked the Health and Community Services Committee to refer the corrected motion to the Jan. 20 consent agenda.
Staff said council had previously approved four capital projects to receive funding from the Affordable Housing and Behavioral Health fund. The Hasko project now proposes reducing the originally planned two-building, 100-unit development (serving families and individuals at or below 50% AMI) to a single 60-unit building that would serve seniors with household incomes between 30% and 60% of area median income (AMI). "The award amount is remaining the same at $2,180,000," staff said, and requested clerks correct a typographical swap that appeared on page 3 of the proposed scope.
The committee directed clerks to make the technical change and moved the item to the Jan. 20 consent agenda. No final funding reauthorization or substantive policy change was adopted at Tuesday's meeting; the motion was referred for GLS/consent consideration.
Next steps: clerks will correct the typographical error in the scope documents and the motion will appear on the Jan. 20 consent agenda for council consideration.
