Davis County commissioners approved a resolution to amend an existing interlocal cooperation agreement with West Bountiful City for the 1100 West Reconstruction Project, authorizing county participation of $807,218.
Kent Anderson, director of Community and Economic Development, described the amendment as a way to coordinate local participation and federal funding. Anderson said West Bountiful had pursued participation funds from the Wasatch Front Regional Council (about $438,000), which, because it is federal money, affects project scope. He described a prior agreement with Farmington City to adjust third-party participation so Wasatch Front funds could be used without changing the overall collaboration.
Chair Loreen Kamalu and commissioners expressed support; a motion to approve the amendment passed. The payable is scheduled to begin July 22, 2025, and run through June 30, 2027. No public opposition was raised during the meeting.
The resolution cited was 2023-0260; commissioners did not present a detailed project budget breakdown at the meeting but framed the amendment as backfilling federal participation to preserve the project’s scope.
