Staff asked the council to adopt a supplemental budget to record grant awards received after the adopted budget. Speaker 13 told the council the Oregon Tourism Commission awarded $49,660 for a tourism-related project and the city must provide a roughly $7,000 match (approximately $2,400 of which is Suzanne’s in‑kind time). An AARP grant of $3,000 requires no local match.
Councilor McKeown moved to adopt Resolution No. 20 20 to add these expenditures to the fiscal 2025–2026 budget and direct the finance director to make appropriate entries; another councilor seconded. The mayor called the roll and the resolution passed on recorded votes: Councilor McKeel (yes), Councilor Lopez (aye), Councilor Ridgeway (aye), Councilor Oberst (yes) and Councilor Kerrey (aye). The motion passed, 5–0.
Councilors welcomed the grants and noted the awards align with the city’s equity and inclusion goals, and the council directed the finance director to implement the entries. No further action was recorded at this meeting.
