County economic team cites Project Oaktree, Scion Lumber and retention efforts

Vogel also reported retention work with Oregon Aero at the Scappoose Airport aimed at keeping 45–46 local jobs. He highlighted a slate of small-business events and technical-assistance grants the county is pursuing, and noted an ongoing countywide gift-card program and holiday-market plans intended to boost local retail.
The committee asked follow-up questions about the competitiveness of sites and next steps; Vogel said the county is working through regulatory and site-preparation issues and will keep the committee informed of award notices and financing milestones.
