Blufftown Council unanimously adopts renewable-energy and mobile-home ordinances

Blufftown — The Blufftown Council on Tuesday unanimously approved two ordinances aimed at regulating renewable-energy installations and clarifying rules for tiny houses, mobile homes and recreational-vehicle parks.
Councilmember Bria Hornsby moved to adopt the draft renewable-energy ordinance; the motion carried without opposition, the chair announced. Hornsby then moved to adopt amendments to Title 6 of the municipal code to add definitions and provisions for tiny houses, mobile homes and modular homes; that motion also passed unanimously.
The council said both items had been reviewed in previous work sessions and meetings. No substantive amendments were recorded during the special meeting; council members indicated the measures had already undergone extended discussion.
Councilmembers did not provide line-by-line textual changes during the meeting. The council recorded the votes by voice; the chair stated the outcomes as unanimous.
The ordinances are expected to be incorporated into Blufftown’s municipal code per the usual codification process. No effective dates were specified during the meeting.
