Residents press board on Hope Way density, transparency and restore teleconferencing access

Another resident, Hecella Greenhouse of Lincoln, urged county attention to courthouse conditions, describing dim winter lighting that she said negatively affected visitors’ moods and practical tasks such as filling out forms. She recommended improving interior lighting and courthouse ambience.
A caller, Louisa Lehi from Christian Valley Park, asked the board to reinstate two‑way teleconferencing/Zoom for public participation, citing a referenced state law and arguing remote access helps working residents engage. Lehi also urged more pre‑application community input and town halls on projects like Hope Way to reduce disputes and litigation risk.
Board members acknowledged the comments; staff noted procedural continuances and that some project items will return for additional public hearings and reviews.
