Crystal Wombach, a district staff member, presented the Arizona Department of Education’s A–F accountability results and explained how proficiency, growth, English-learner progress, acceleration/readiness, graduation and college-and-career-readiness produce school letter grades.
Wombach said the district’s overall grade this year is a B. She listed school results, noting Bella Vista received a C (65 points), Carmichael fell to a B, Joyce Clark improved to a C, Wichita Mountain remained an A, Pueblo Del Sol fell to a B, Town and Country remained an A, and Village Meadows was scored on a 90-point basis because it did not meet the EL subgroup minimum required for the full 100-point model.
