• City attorney contract: Council approved a contract with the local government law group to continue serving as city attorney and authorized the city administrator to sign the final agreement; exhibits (billing memo and standard RM S requirements) will be attached to the final contract. Motion carried without opposition.
• Janitorial services contract: Staff recommended terminating the prior janitorial vendor for failing to meet scope requirements and awarding the contract for city buildings (police, public works, library, new city hall) to Elite Maintenance at a previously quoted price. Council authorized the city administrator to sign the contract; motion carried unanimously.
• Street closure — Run for Roth 5K: The council approved a street-closure request for Junction City High School’s second annual Run for Roth 5K on Oct. 19, 2025, with conditions in the staff packet. Approved closure hours: 1:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; motion carried unanimously.
No recorded votes in the packet showed any 'no' or abstain votes. The council authorized staff to finalize contract exhibits and to return ordinance language on other items discussed.
