He said the city failed to collect approximately $32,500 in impact/utility fees for nearly 12 months; the amount later cleared after he followed up and he has filed two complaints requesting the city investigate the service and documentation lapses to prevent recurrence.
The chair and staff thanked Wood for bringing the concerns to the meeting and said they would follow up on his complaint documentation. Council members encouraged staff to verify whether similar collection failures occurred in other files and to respond to the complainant with findings.
