Board members pressed staff on accessibility and ADA parking: a board member asked whether power‑assist doors and on‑street ADA stalls would be available. Staff said they are coordinating with the city and the fire marshal on occupancy, and that the city denied converting one Main‑Street stall to an ADA space; staff are pursuing other mitigation measures (designing entry flow, a possible doorbell for assisted entry, and parking in back).
Other operational matters include staffing assignments for the temporary site, moving shelving by the end of the month to enable remediation work, and exploring a second temporary location further south if budget permits. Staff also noted a new requirement surfaced in planning: a drinking fountain is required for the temporary occupancy and will be added to plans.
What the board decided: by voice vote the board ratified the lease with Liberty Hills Academy and authorized staff to proceed with move and permitting steps. Staff will report back on permitting, occupancy approvals, and operational readiness prior to the temporary opening.
