The Boulder Town Planning Commission handled routine procedural business at its first 2026 meeting and heard a staff update on recent permit activity.
Procedural votes: The commission unanimously adopted the meeting agenda at 6:01 p.m., and later unanimously approved the Dec. 16 minutes. The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote to adjourn.
Staff report and permits: Aaron Smith, planning administrator, told commissioners staff has started using a spreadsheet to consolidate permit information and said three project permits were approved since last month: a bar by Daniel Kennedy at 15 South Lower Boulder Road; an addition by Cynthia Wilson at 95 West 200 North; and a walk-in freezer and office for Hills Backbone Farms Real Estate LLC. Smith said staff is updating forms and building JotForm workflows and will make the spreadsheet available in meeting materials.
Next steps and deadlines: Commissioners were reminded to complete required trainings and file annual disclosure forms via the town's online submission forms by the end of the month; staff will post the new spreadsheet and updated forms to the meeting folder.
