The mayor described complaints about the overflowing receptacle and praised Bullington for picking up boxes, placing them in the correct areas, and continuing to clean despite others arriving and discarding materials while she worked. "She picked up all the boxes," the mayor said during the proclamation. The mayor read language praising her determination, integrity and service and presented a community service award dated Jan. 20, 2026.
Council thanked Bullington and encouraged citizens to follow her example. No further action was recorded beyond the proclamation.
