Volunteers group urges Beaver City to link and post events on JustServe

They described its use in rapid mobilization after the Enoch flooding and said it also supports school service hours and community beautification projects. “It’s simply a tool to connect willing volunteers with legitimate needs in the community,” the presenters said.
They asked the council to consider adding a JustServe link on the Beaver City website and to encourage city departments to post approved service opportunities. The presenters noted there is no cost, no membership requirement and, they said, no religious messaging attached to the platform.
Council members thanked the presenters and offered brief questions; no formal action was taken, but presenters were invited to answer questions before leaving. The council did not vote on policy changes at the meeting; if the council wishes to pursue the request, staff would need to return a proposed website update or posting policy at a future meeting.
