Bossier City Council adopts multiple ordinances, approves appointments and budget adjustments

Council approved change orders 14 and 15 for the Walter Opigbee Carriageway Phase 2 project, increasing the contract by $19,760.67 and closing out construction with JB James Construction LLC. The body adopted ordinances adjusting water meter and tapping fees, repealing and replacing a 2017 ordinance, and declaring certain movable city equipment surplus for disposal.
On personnel and administration measures, council approved a resolution to replace one part‑time event coordinator position at the Civic Center and appointed Steve Ford as director of building maintenance. The council adopted the regular meeting calendar through July 2026, announced a temporary relocation of meetings to the City Courtroom during chamber renovations, and approved cancellation of the Dec. 30, 2025 meeting. The body also adopted a resolution declaring Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 an administrative down day to accommodate payroll adjustments.
