Bossier City opens sealed bids for two demolitions; several bids came in below engineer estimates

For demolition of 2441 Hoyt (Bid 1563‑2025) staff said there were no addenda and reported an engineer’s estimate of $24,000. Bids read aloud were: Williams Enterprises — $17,000 (check in lieu of bid bond); Abatement Services Inc. — $18,700; and Eagle Industries LLC — $20,740. The council approved reading the bids by voice vote.
For demolition of 4807 Orchard Circle (Bid 1574‑2025) staff reported an engineer’s estimate of $28,000. Bids read were Abatement Services Inc. — $23,475 and Eagle Industries LLC — $24,750. The council approved reading these bids as presented.
No contract awards were made during the meeting; staff opened and recorded bids for later evaluation and procurement steps.
Clerk/administrative staff handled the bid reading and confirmed the administrative court had recommended demolition of both properties at its Nov. 3, 2025 meeting.
