Bossier City council confirms Shane Cheatham as chief administrative officer

Cheatham addressed the council and audience, promising to emphasize responsiveness and transparency if confirmed. “If approved today, you can expect professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and a strong focus on results,” he said.
The motion to approve the nomination was made and seconded and carried by voice vote; the council congratulated Cheatham after the vote. The nomination was introduced during the meeting packet item for confirmation of Shane Cheatham as chief administrative officer and completed the same day by the council’s vote.
Next steps: Cheatham will assume the CAO duties as directed by the mayor and city administration; the council did not set a different start date during the meeting.
