Lewiston certifies election results; Brady Fizz Bodley elected mayor, Morrison and Trexler to council

The Lewiston City Council formally canvassed and accepted local election results on Nov. 18, recording turnout and certifying winners for the mayoral and city-council races.
The recorder presented the canvass report, saying Lewiston had 1,035 possible votes and 555 ballots cast, for a 53.62% turnout. The recorder then read the results: Brady Fizz Bodley received 316 votes and Jeffrey Wade Hall received 235 in the mayoral contest; John Morrison and Jason Trexler received the highest vote totals in the council race (332 and 256, respectively) and were declared elected to council seats beginning Jan. 2026. The recorder also noted Jill Dent (184) and Brooke Heyer (182) and listed 80 write-in votes for Corinne Earhart.
Council members asked clarifying questions about overvotes and undervotes and the recorder explained how those are counted. Following that, Speaker 2 moved to accept the canvass; the motion carried on unanimous roll call. The council signed the canvass paperwork as the board of canvassers and the results will be entered as official.
