An unidentified presenter introduced the request Nov. 18, saying several nearby intersections had already been converted to 4-way stops and neighbors asked that this intersection receive the same treatment because "people think we're not making that a 4 way stop" and drivers were "running it." Council members discussed alternatives and constraints: one councilor favored a roundabout if feasible, others said a 4-way stop would slow traffic; another suggested outreach to a local employer (Wrightwood) whose vehicles were reported to run stops.
Speaker 4 moved to approve the 4-way stop and Speaker 5 seconded. Roll-call style votes recorded Fizz — no; John — yes; Ned — yes; Brooke — no; Shonna — yes. The motion passed 3–2. Councilers noted enforcement limitations given limited sheriff presence and seasonal gate closures in the area but said the stop should improve safety and sight-line concerns for adjacent residents.
Staff were directed to proceed with the sign installation and any necessary coordination with property owners and county authorities.
