At its Oct. 14 meeting the Beaver City Council approved corrected minutes from the Sept. 26 meeting and approved city bills for Sept. 25, Oct. 6 and Oct. 9 after a finance reviewer reported no compliance issues.
Council approved additional training (roughly $14,000) and scheduled interviews for open staff positions. Patty provided a fiscal snapshot through Sept. 30 showing several funds temporarily in the red because of ongoing reimbursements and capital projects; staff said most are timing issues and that grant reimbursements are pending.
Council also discussed the remaining balance from a prior sales-tax bond used to buy property for recreation. Council members estimated roughly $1.9 million remains in the bond bucket after the purchase; they said the next step is to fund a professional site master plan for the acreage and consider phased investment for a multi‑court recreation building and other infrastructure.
