Discussion focused on definitions and enforceability. Commissioners asked whether the ordinance would capture single tractors without trailers, combination vehicles and double trailers, and recommended changing the language to explicitly cover "vehicle combinations" or express weight/length thresholds. Staff noted the draft exempts emergency vehicles, authorized local deliveries and agricultural equipment engaged in local operations; commissioners suggested clarifying "local agricultural operations." Law-enforcement and road-department enforcement implications were also raised.
Commission directed staff to prepare a cleaned-up draft, produce a list/map of proposed roads to be prohibited, and return the ordinance to a future agenda for consideration. No formal vote was taken; commissioners agreed to continue work and advertise the item for the next meeting after clarifying definitions and enforcement language.
