Council gives advice-and-consent for planning commission appointment; approves minutes and adjourns

At the Jan. 6 River Heights City Council meeting, members gave advice and consent to Mayor Blake Wright’s nomination of Annalisa Davidson to the planning commission and approved routine meeting business before adjourning.

Wright told the council Davidson is willing to serve on the planning commission to replace Heather Lenig and said he would appoint her with council advice and consent. Several members expressed support: a council member said, “I think... Annalisa. Yeah. She’d be good,” one member said “Fully recommend,” and others indicated assent. Wright asked the planning commission chair (Noel) to connect with Davidson ahead of the commission’s next meeting.

Earlier in the meeting, a council member moved and another seconded to approve the minutes dated Dec. 16, 2025 and the Jan. 6 agenda. When the mayor called for a voice vote, multiple members verbally indicated approval. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
