The Hurricane City Planning Commission voted Sept. 25 to approve the preliminary plat for Ridgecrest (PP25‑09), a 21‑lot manufactured‑home subdivision at 2680 West 200 North, subject to staff and Joint Utility Committee (JUC) comments.
Joby Vanughe, the applicant, appeared before the commission and provided updated materials the commission had requested after tabling the item at a prior meeting. Planning staff told commissioners the additional submittals resolved earlier design and water questions and that the JUC supported a positive recommendation.
Commissioners confirmed that easements with neighboring property owners had been secured and that required documentation was recorded. Commissioner Shelley Goodfellow said she had no remaining concerns. A motion to approve the preliminary plat subject to staff and JUC comments was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The approval covers the preliminary plat only; final engineering, construction drawings and any required public improvements must satisfy staff and JUC conditions before final plat recordation.
