Council approves RAMP grant submission and prioritizes 500 West sewer for CDBG funding

Engineers estimate the project at $350,866 and staff proposed a 38.5% city match, approximately $135,091, to maximize competitive points for the grant. Council discussed project scope, linear footage (about 1,735 linear feet of 12-inch concrete main on 500 West between 100 South and 4400 South was cited), root infiltration concerns, and timing for bids.
Both actions were approved by voice vote. Staff said they will proceed with grant submission and continue planning work toward bidding if funding is secured.
