Perry City Council on Jan. 8 approved two citizen appointments and signed off on routine consent items.
Jake Andrew was appointed to the Box Elder County/Perry flood control board to replace a departing member; council members noted his prior service to the city and experience as a roadway project inspector familiar with stormwater programs. Andrew told the council his family has lived in Perry since 1855 and said he is "excited to help out in any capacity."
The council also approved an alternate appointment to the planning commission, naming Travis Moser; Moser told the body he was motivated by community concerns about growth, traffic and land-use management and said he would serve as an alternate and learn the technical details. Both appointments were approved by roll call votes.
The council then approved the consent items for Dec. 11 and Dec. 22, 2025, with a correction to credit a motion-maker. Councilors were reminded to complete annual conflict-of-interest disclosure forms by Jan. 31 for posting as required by the lieutenant governor’s office.
