Perry City approves Box Elder County as addressing authority with corrections

Staff said the county historically handled addressing consistently and the interlocal will formalize that arrangement; councilors requested removal of an erroneous sentence that referenced building permit inspections and asked that instances of the word “town” be corrected to “city.” Other minor wording and typographical fixes were noted (for example, legal phrasing that should read "inures to the benefit of" rather than "insurers"). A council member asked that staff calendar a one‑year review so the governing bodies can reassess the arrangement.
The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call with Council members Young, Walker, Osler, Wright and Toor recorded as voting yes.
The resolution was approved subject to the corrections discussed; staff will make the fixes and finalize the interlocal for recordation and continued implementation.
