Five bids opened for Mark Henry Correctional Facility rebid; board holds bids for review

The Morrow County Board of Commissioners opened bids on Nov. 12 for the rebid of the Mark Henry Correctional Facility and the Sheriff's Office of Education. The bids and alternates were read into the record and the board subsequently voted to hold the bids for review by PLC.

Bids read on the record (as read in the transcript): Equity Construction Solutions submitted a base bid of $9,736,390 and alternates of $1,640,534 (Alt 1), $82,600 (Alt 2), $309,232 (Alt 3) and $229,887 (Alt 4). ACI Construction Company Inc. submitted a base bid of $10,029,000 with Alternates 1–4 recorded as $1,240,000, $266,200, $3,194,000 and $4,183,000, respectively. A bid read as Albert, Inc. listed a base bid of $9,665,000 and alternates that were read as $11,755,000 (Alt 1), $207,000 (Alt 2), $3,463,000 (Alt 3) and $454,000 (Alt 4). 2K General Company Inc. recorded a base bid of $10,102,000 and alternates of $1,466,000, $90,000, $303,000 and $344,000. Granger Construction Company's base bid was read as $10,100,000 with alternates noted in the transcript.

The clerk/reader noted one additional packet that may not be for this project and could instead be a proposal for the sheriff's office; that submittal was opened for the record but flagged as possibly unrelated.

After the bids were read, Speaker 2 moved and Speaker 3 seconded a motion to hold the bids for review by PLC (bid review). Roll-call votes recorded in the transcript were affirmative and the motion to hold the bids carried.
