She said many patients face barriers to care because they fall just above Medicaid eligibility thresholds and that repeated outreach is necessary to connect residents with services.
Nicole said the health center provides pharmacy delivery at no cost to Marion residents and that the downtown location is within walking distance for many. She also described efforts to coordinate with nearby providers and noted that when a nearby facility expanded services it reduced patient volume at some sites, complicating staffing and scheduling.
The board also approved a proclamation designating August 2025 as Child Support Awareness Month; the proclamation included county-level child support figures and enforcement activity reported by the county office of child support.
