We have what's called LineWise, which filters our student computers locally on the computer... and we also filter here on‑site with a Fortinet gateway," he said, noting devices remain filtered even off campus. Borland told the board E‑Rate typically covers roughly 80–90% of eligible costs and the district budgets the remaining ~10%.
On the WAN renewal, Borland noted the contract amount is $315,480 before discounts; E‑Rate discounts will reduce the district's share and the contract is renewed annually as required by E‑Rate program rules. The board moved, seconded and approved both authorizations.
