The Tenino Planning Commission convened on Jan. 8 and approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from its previous meeting by voice vote. Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to approve the agenda and Unidentified Speaker 1 seconded; the chair called for and received the ayes that carried the motion. Later in the meeting Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to approve the minutes as presented and Unidentified Speaker 1 seconded; that motion also passed by voice vote.
The routine approvals cleared the way for staff to present work on updates to the city’s comprehensive plan, including the transportation and natural-resources elements. The commission noted there was no public hearing on the agenda and no members of the public offered comments at this meeting.
With procedural items completed, commissioners turned to staff-led briefings and discussions of outreach, policy language, and project priorities tied to the plan update. Staff said they would return with revised drafts and supporting documents for future meetings.
