A planning commission representative (S8) told the council the commission did not meet in October and that the public hearing will resume Nov. 12. Several council members questioned whether the comprehensive plan must be adopted by the end of the year; a planner reportedly told one member it need not be passed by the end of the year, prompting the council to task staff to check the Revised Code of Washington for any statutory deadline.
Council members said they would bring a finalized draft to public hearing as soon as possible and noted the desire to have the plan in as complete a form as practicable before resuming hearings.
