Woodinville appoints Rebecca Washington and Matthew Geiger to citizen commissions after interviews

Planning Commission: Two candidates — Matthew Geiger and Nicholas Mervin — were interviewed. After nominations, the council held a roll‑call vote for Matthew Geiger with these recorded votes: Councilmember Evans — No; Councilmember Edwards — Yes; Councilmember Bess Campbell — No; Mayor Millman — Yes; Councilmember Arndt — Yes; Councilmember Taylor — Abstain; Deputy Mayor Randolph — Yes. The mayor announced the ayes had it; Geiger, who was not present, was appointed to the position.
Council members thanked volunteers for their willingness to serve and noted the planning commission appointment will come before the commission and council in future agendas as needed. Both appointments were completed by recorded roll call and are effective following council confirmation.
