The Westborough Affordable Housing Trust voted June 17 to award administration of a Westborough Rental Assistance Program (WRAP) to MetroWest Community Development and to allocate $142,500 to the program.
Alan explained the program will run through June 30, 2025, and described the budget as "$120,000 for direct assistance, $21,375 for program administration, and a small contingency of $1,125 for legal costs and contingencies." He said the trust sent the administration scope to three bidders and received one responsive bid.
A trustee moved to award the bid and to authorize the chair to finalize and sign a contract with MetroWest for program administration; trustees approved the motion by voice/show-of-hands, 5-0. Alan said staff will notify MetroWest and schedule kickoff planning meetings and a timeline to get both the rental and down-payment programs up and running.
Trust staff said MetroWest will lead some of the marketing and outreach and that the trust will support local outreach through existing community connections and partnerships with social‑service organizations.
