Alan told trustees that "MetroWest Collaborative Development responded with a bid of $21,375 to manage the program for a year," and that officials had previously budgeted $17,500 for administration when a TD Bank grant was expected but not awarded. Trustees said the MetroWest redline (blue-line) contract had only clarifying edits and that a clean version appeared acceptable.
Trustee [motion-maker] moved to finalize the funding and to authorize the chair or the chair's designee, with counsel as appropriate, to finalize and sign the MetroWest contract for program administration. The motion was seconded and carried on a 5-0 show-of-hands vote; five trustees were present.
According to staff, MetroWest will handle outreach and marketing for the program but the trust will support local community marketing and partner outreach to youth and family services and social-service agencies. Staff said the contract and funding will run through June 30, 2025, and that the town will re-evaluate continuation and funding next year.
Next steps include notifying MetroWest that the votes were passed and scheduling kickoff planning meetings to set the program timeline and operational details.
